The FA have decreed that as part of their responsibility to children that under recent legislation, which comes into effect in season 2008 - 2009 they will ensure that all necessary actions will be enforced.

One such action is that all adults who have any contact with children within football must be CRB checked. Cheshire County FA are trying to encourage this as best practice starting season 2007-2008.
